At 2:00pm, our bus left for the palace of Versailles. It was a 20 minutes trip to Versailles from the heart of Paris. The palace was absolutely magnificent and ornate. I've never seen anything quite like it before. Most of the palace is adorned with gold, which makes it so beautiful. The inside also has many painted murals on the ceiling and on the walls. In addition, there were many portraits of King Louis XIV, XV, and XVI and the queens, especially Marie Antoinette. I thought that the "Hall of Mirrors" was the most magnificent room! There is truly no way to describe it, and my pictures do not do a justice. You have to see it in person. The palace is enormous!! It has 2,000 room in it and we only saw about 10 of the 2,000 rooms on our guided tour. I told Samantha that we could throw a pretty legit party in that palace!
After returning from Versailles, we took the metro to the Latin Quarter where we had a delicious dinner. Tomorrow, I officially leave the city of Paris. I truly loved this city and I hope that I can return to visit it again one day. However, I'm really excited to move onto my next adventure which is the country of Italy. I should have internet in Italy, so I will continue to update my blog and tell you all about my Italian adventures!!! Bonne Nuit!!!
